You can tell just from the tone of his voice that he's biased toward Wix. Even in parts that Squarespace wins the point, the tone of his voice when he talks about Wix isn't as "negative" as it is when Wix wins the point and he talks about Squarespace.

Wix is Janky. Will never run well.
They are counting you making a site, and nobody ever going there.
    fucking predatory towards dumbfucks

I am using Wix for the last 6 years and is planning to move to Squarespace.
Full responsive design is too important today for BOLD STATEMENT.
Wix provides its answer in Feb 2020 as EditorX, but is too new without much templates.

I am from the UK . Thank you for a great information. I am setting up a wix website. I have a domain name from another host. However the host is not on wix host list. Wix will not allow me to add this domain. I have to be honest, wix is a nightmare to contact for advice. there no phone number or email contact on the web site. There is only answer and question page. Please can you help me . If i cannot add my domain to wix there I will have to cancel my account.

As far as I know Squarespace has the advantage of being able to change the template after starting – which Wix hasn't! Is this true?

I do like the Wix free option. Which would be great for webpage for a single event like a party or concert. Then when it’s done you can delete it and have paid nothing.

WiX actually has an excellent customer service. You can contact them by Live Facebook Messenger Chat (1 hour for a reply), e-mail support (within 24 hours) and Phone Support (3min Callback). Also the Help Center answers all of your questions at ease meaning there is not much need for contacting a live agent. Personally, I prefer WiX for building my website!

Dis agree about support. I have used both. WIX was better. You could talk to them on the phone. SS only live chat.

Wix is slow. Like really slow. So if you're hoping to rank well on Google, don't use Wix.

This is a fantastic comparison video. Keep it up.

But y’all should compare Wix to WordPress. Both Wix and Squarespace are akin to a walled garden. For those not worried about investing a little bit more time, I would’ve chosen wordpress as it beats both in pricing, seo, flexibility, plugins and widget options, and (with tweaking) page speed.

I really tried my best to use Squarespace because my friend used it to create her website and I loved hers. However, I could not figure it out as easily as I figured out WIX. In the end, I went with Wix and I'm really happy with it.

I've used Squarespace for 7 years for my commercial business. As far as price, ease-of-use and outstanding customer service, I've tried a lot of different services but Squarespace is far and away the best! Also, they've been around a long enough time that I don't have to worry about them going anywhere in the near future. That's my .02 cents. Peace!

No comparison of e-commerce use, up grading or switching templates, the cost of different monthly plans and there differences between plans or domain name cost. To mention just a few differences they have.

I'd rather have a stable site than one with tons of features that breaks all the time. Squarespace is a winner for me. I wonder what Wix's client retention rate is. Probably lower than Squarespace.

If your website is damm slow, it is basically useless and defeat the purpose of having it at all, despite how easy or how user friendly the tool is, no matter how many days and nights you have spent to create the website. Wix loading time is just damm suck. I picked up wix many years ago for several websites build, my thoughts is . It is really take times to master one tool, so I fxxking stupid stick to it, learned and improved the websites with all methods tried. But no sign of improvement at all. It only load faster if it have cached (meaning you have visited the side before), but it will kill you and destroy all your on going marketing efforts to promote the site for new leads. Out of no choice, I transfer one of my website to squarespace, same content, similar design, same size of images. The result : It load WAY faster and smoother on either destop or mobile. Enough is enough.i am on the way to transfer all sites that build on wix to squarespace. Period.

you are overlooking one crucial aspect: wix templates are not responsive! so you need to edit for web and mobile separately. Wix templates overall look less professional than squarespace when it comes to design.
