Top 4 Canadian ETFs for 2022 | Canadian Passive Income
Looking to build a Canadian ETF portfolio? Are you a beginner investor looking for safe investments but also have great growth potential? This video briefly breaks down my top 4 picks for Canadian ETFs in 2022. I’ve made a similar video for 2021 ETFs, but I had 5 ETFs, that might have been too confusing or too complicated, so I reduced to 4 and really narrowed down my choices. I went for a mix of Canadian investments, global investments and even some crypto ETFs as well.

I prefer Horizon ETFs for my long term holds, They don't pay dividends which is tax efficient. I want my long term holds to be all growth. Great videos! Thanks for sharing your knowledge:)
Hello Baseem, are you not a fan of bonds?
Hello I commented on your video before and you recommended s&p 500 Canada. You asked if j had a broker account but I don't. Which do you recommend, and is vanguard a broker account? Also I saw reviews that wealthsimple take a long time to withdraw an has lots of fees
Veqt vs xeqt ?
Thaj you this video was beyond helpful. Which one do you recommend more for a candian who is trying to hold in money for long term and wants as little risk as possible? The S&P 500 CAD hedged ETF, or the FTSE Canada index ETF? And could you give me a step by step instruction on how to invest in your choice? I know this is a lot to ask for so it's okay if you can't.
Hello! Great video! Iβm just starting out investing in ETFs and wanted to know which registered account to hold in would be most beneficial for retirement? Would these be better in a TFSA or RRSP?
WhT platform are you using?
What do you think about CNQ ETF
A video on ETFs for non-resident Canadians would be great!
I want to start investing but I can't morally justify putting money into companies like Amazon and Enbridge. Do you have any videos on more ethical investing options for Canadians?
thanks for video. are these subject to 15%
WHT from the US?
I just did this breakdown today with 9k, along with a bit of EARK that was recommended in another video. This is my 11 month in investing, since starting my RRSP in March last year with WS. Thanks Bassem.
Impressive
Hi Bassem, Please do a video on covered call ETFs. Would really love your take on them.
Is this still relevant given the current situation of stocks? lol
Everything seems to just be going down with no hope in sight anytime soon.
Do you still own CloudMD?
Hi Bassem, I checked the suggested ETFs and found the HCA (X1 version) and HCAL (X1.25 version of the HCA) will outperform the suggested ones and offer higher yields (4.27% and 3.54%) and even ZWB (5.22%) in the different time frames (1M, 3M, 6M, 9M, 1Yr, 3Yr and 5Yrs). Of course, if they have data on those years.
One ETF suggested here outperformed HCAL, HCA and ZWB, in the long run >5Yrs: XUU.
I understand using leverage come with some risk, X1.25 is not as high as others (2X or 3X).
What are your thoughts about HCA, HCAL, ZWB and XUU????
Hello Bassem. I hope you are well. Thx for the video, that I have watched many times. My wife and I are both members of your channel and we have learned so much, thanks to you. I have a question and have no one else to ask. I trust you, so I am asking! I noticed that VOO has a 10% higher growth over a 5 year period than VSP and VFV. I wonder if you know why this is, since they both track the S&P 500. Is it because VSP and VFV are on the TSX while VOO is on the NYE? Or is it simply that investors value VOO more than the other two, therefore are paying more for it through supply and demand? I am puzzled, since in theory they are all doing the same thing (except the hedging, of course)…Thx so much!
heyyyy videos under 10mins are great!!! Hope this is better for you! goodluck!!! π
Thanks Bassem for the great video. Can I use my TFSA funds to buy all these ETF?
Thanks for the your video my question is I have RRSP can I invest in ETFs?
Why VEQT over XEQT ?
Do you think a Blockchain ETF like Horizons HBGD or Harvest HBLK is required in the crypto mix? And if so, how much should be included in the mix with Crypto currency?
i really appreciate the quality of video, and sincerity keep the videos up!!!
Hi Bassem, VSP vs XUU are they own the same thing ? Or which one is better?
Hi Bassem, which platform is good for ETF, Questrade or Wealthsimple.
I suggest adding VFV and QQC. Unhedged is the way to go
do you recommend covered call etfs? or would you prefer to write your own – considering the fees one has to pay for non active questrade accounts.
I personally go
40% XUU
30% XIC
20% XEF
10% Crypto
Not a lot of overlap I don't think.
I do hold VEQT for my kids
Hi Bassem, if you buy 5 ETF does that mean you also need to add all MER fees? Sorry stupid question. Lol
Hello Bassem, thank you so much for this video. Would you be able to make a video on investing through Canadian controlled private corporation margin investing account?
Cool video
I'm looking at BTCY and/or ETHY for my crypto etf but I'm looking for monthly income at this point.
Great Video
Nice picks. That last one is a bit of a wildcard, that I might have to consider.
I've been rolling with VFV for growth, VDY for a balance of both, and ZWC for immediate income.
Even in Holiday Season you still work to make great videis for us! ππ βοΈThank you very much! ππ
13,000 stocks is huge instant diversification. Thank you for the helpful video! I always enjoy your work.
My ETFs are zwc, hr.un, and xdiv. Thoughts?
What do you think of investing in leveraged S&P 500 index funds such as SPXL (3x) instead of VOO or VSP?
Hi, which Questrade Active trader fees package you are using ?
Should I put a thousand bucks in bitcoin ETF or just buy a thousand dollars of actual bitcoin…
I'm assuming the ETFs are for the older generation that doesn't know how to buy actual crypto?
What do you think about XEQT and TEC?
