I’m going to walk you through how to create a squeeze page, start to finish. Are you ready to have some fun?

First, what is a squeeze page?

A squeeze page is designed to collect an email and maybe a name. That’s it, and the purpose is to test your message and offer as quickly as possible. This should be the least distracting page on your site.

The key difference between a squeeze page and landing page is the length. A landing page can have bullet points, videos, multiple graphics and lots of information.

A squeeze page on the other hand is very short and to the point as to what the opt-in offer is. It’s typically just a headline, maybe a sub-headline, and then a form to enter contact information.

The purpose of a squeeze page is to collect email information and unless you need to educate your traffic more as to what they are about to get, this is really all you need to start growing your email list. Now, how to make a squeeze page?

Building a targeted email list is much easier with the right tools. I’ll give you some tips what squeeze page tools to use and squeeze page examples to help you get started.

How to make a squeeze page? The first thing visitors are going to notice when they land on your squeeze page is your headline. If you want to get visitors past those 15 or so words, your headline has to be benefit-driven.

Your call to action should be specific; the more specific it is, the easier it is for a visitor to follow it. A strong call to action gets the conversion from your squeeze page.

Before you design your squeeze page, you need to create something to offer visitors in exchange for their email address. This is called a lead magnet. They’re typically in the format of digital, downloadable content, like a free PDF checklist, report, eBook, whitepaper, or something else along those lines.
