Hey i know this is a older video and i dont know if you read the comments on this but i just wanted to make a note that like a week ago i scavenged a stack of 20 HP procurve switches from my workplace and now YT promoted me about this video 😄.

Got multiple gigabit PoE's and without. Half are just 10/100 PoE's and without.

Im still trying to figure out how to use the console port. Got the cables but i am unable to connect to them. Also got a bunch of the 1310nm fiber modules too.

Others trash is sometimes someone elses treasure. Employer just threw them away as they bought newer ones.

Can you explain why you went 10 gigabit? Was it just that you got the switch for cheap? There's no way the gear you have will saturate even 1 gigabit.

What are all the VMs for? Can't you not pass through GPUs in a virtual machine? I think you can't with Hyper V but I really don't know

WHAAATT?? Panda's becoming a network administrator? Or already is? Now your stepping into my domain 🙂 PFSence is tha bomb. Unraid is a NAS and isnt really comparable. Also, I agree with your opinion of Unraid as unworthy of our love… Im an ESXi/Proxmox + PFSence + FreeNAS man myself. So, where is the rack? Where is the fiber optic going?

Search your local used marked for racks (Craigslist?) – you'll save a lot of money if someone's closing a datacentre or changing racks

Also take a look and see if Observium might be better for you instead of Cacti
