Crypto currency could be basd on proof of carbon capture. Or proof of plasic capture from the government
But nobody talks about Elon musk rocket that uses more energy then anything.
Or one man to a four seater car, this does not make sense.

Crypto mining – increase E-waste plus electricity wastage plus air conditioning required to cool the node emits greenhouse gases and exhaust emits for heat than mall.
Only the people that drive electric cars in their daily lives may criticize crypto and its fossil fuel consumption, and nobody else
only allow mining in countries with 100% green energy
Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time.
There is no doubt about huge energy consumption in bitcoin mining. This may impact adoption. A possible solution is to build a mechanism within bitcoin which allows taking some percentage of transaction fees as cess for supporting renewable energy projects. If you can pay exorbitant fees for your transaction then you can also pay 5 percent of that fee for renewable energy. These funds should flow to renewable energy projects in developing and poor countries. This should be continued till there emerges a really cheap renewable energy source or technology.
