How to Make a Video in PowerPoint – ppt to video

Learn how to publish your own video using Microsoft PowerPoint with narration, annotations, animations, and timings. As full disclosure, I work at Microsoft as a full-time employee.

In this video, I show how to record a slide show, how to annotate slides, how to add your web cam, and how to publish your video to YouTube.

Learn how to Record Screen using PowerPoint:

In this tutorial, I use PowerPoint that comes with Office 365; however, this should also work with all previous versions of PowerPoint, like PowerPoint 2019, PowerPoint 2016, PowerPoint 2013, PowerPoint 2010, PowerPoint 2007, and PowerPoint 2003.

Thinking about subscribing to Office 365? You get the Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desktop apps and up to 6 TB cloud storage. So glad I found this. Family member needed a presentation video with a video of them in the bottom right, so exactly this

I thought I was going to have to composite the ppt with a video, but this is a lot easier, woo.

I have a two part question. First say I wanted to add in a business name on the very bottom, is that possible? Second question is could I do images on top of the video. Such s if I wanted a bunch of flowers opening up to my video or closing up my video?

Always great content, Kevin! Is there a solution for the fact that PPT doesn’t record audio or video during slide transitions? You have to let the slide change or animate before you speak; otherwise, the audio sounds choppy. Thank You!

I don't get the big red record button, the pens or any of the other tools. I just get a small box that let's me record and pause. That's all. I can't even play it back. When I run the slide show the sound is there though. What if I make a mistake? Can I re-record one slide using this method, or do I use the insert video method to re-record one slide.

Hi Kevin, Are you able to insert a premade video onto the PPT and still have it play automatically in the recorded version of the PPT rather than recording live onto the slide?

Is there any fees? How much is it? This should be right in the very beginning of your video.
