I'm excited about the potential of ethereum, but I can't help but see employment issue down the road.
But we are definitely entering a new world run by robots. I feel like the Jetson cartoon was way ahead of its time, but a glimpse into our future.
Many years from now it will be said that "there was a time when humans controlled machines, now humans are controlled by machines" Autonomation

The Ethereum blockchain is an absolute pain to work with. It's a technology from the past. DYOR, yes, there is something even better, it's called Hashgraph and it's used by key players all over the world already.

Scott, as always this piece was informative and insightful (I am getting tired of sending your videos/podcasts to others). As you are excellent at mapping out the competition, I know I would be interested to hear what you think are the competitors (now and future) to Ethereum. i agree with David Yermack assertion that Ethereum will likely face growing competition. Yes, they are in the clear lead but so was MySpace, AOL, etc…Who do you see as a future threat to Ethereum? Another interesting issue is the idea that Ethereum may become just one island in an archipelago of other platforms. If so, the winner may be the "meta-platform" providing the connective tissue to allow users to easily move from Ethereum to Cardano to Tron, etc…. Polkadot is one such cross-platform network. Might you want to address this issue in a coming episode? Finally, you mentioned some time back that you were an investor in Lemonade. Is Lemonade in your mind a fintech that "puts lipstick on a pig" or might it be one of the pioneering insurtechs that re-orient on blockchain? Given Yermack's comments about the size/importance of the insurance industry (and how it is often eclipsed by the more visible banking industry), I know I would appreciate getting your thoughts on how Lemonade/insurtech/blockchain-insurance may evolve.

Speaking about insurance, what do you prefer?I chose CVR for their good insurance options, and staking rewards. Being trusted I won’t lose my capital is truly a relaxing feeling. Should I purchase more? What do you think?

I don't like DeFi because it is just a form of a payday loan. I like a coin that can be mined (processed). Mining is what makes all of this work. Some DeFi is okay, but staking is a rich man's game. Mining is something anyone can do. Only the rich can stake coins at current (32ETH) levels. Ideally, it should be a good mix of staking and mining.

That's the issue with these cyrptos – you can have an infinite number of cryptocurrencies all made by the biggest institutions. If BTC was made 10+ yrs ago by some small team, imagine what billions of dollars and the best engineering talent in the world can make from the likes of FB, Amazon, etc.
