Crypto and NFT's Confirmed in Earth 2
Well a crypto marketplace and NFT’s have been confirmed in Earth 2. Last night Robinhood found the following in Earth 2’s Senior Full Stack Developer job listing

But the main stand out part to me is “persistent virtual worlds centred around a fully functioning economy and crypto-powered internal marketplaces” ; it can no longer be classed as speculation when It’s in official E2 documents.
Shane also posted on his LinkedIn profile last week
“Hope that everyone is keeping well. If I have any journalists in my contacts who cover tech, the metaverse, virtual land, block chain, NFTs and the like and would be interested in receiving details on an upcoming PR Earth 2 is set to make regarding a recent key tech acquisition, please send me a message and one of our staff will be in touch. Thank you”
Now you don’t want journalists specifically in the crypto, blockchain and NFT space unless you’re moving into those areas. I of course replied to the post offering my services. But I’m yet to hear anything. Wink wink, nudge, nudge, Shane.
What do you guys think that key tech acquisition could be? My original thought was Drone. But that doesn’t seem to fit with the NFT, Crypto and blockchain theme. Have we had multiple acquisitions?

Ok cool… but what about the game part ? I though that's a project about making a game :/
They didn't give any technical requirements whatsoever for role which makes no sense.
I'm a developer in the space and have been following earth2 for some time and hold some tiles after selling and breaking even ( not much)
In terms of an ad for a full stack developer there was nothing in terms of what stack theyre using and job requirements for this at all.
For most developers particularly the ones that they would need for this sort of work, this posting would be considered a red flag.

Most of it sounds nice but the last part is very iffy. "Open sourced user owned approach," just isn't true. Their own terms of service indicates that we don't actually own anything in earth2, and they can strip it away at any time. As for open sourced, maybe I'm missing something, but I've never seen them release their code. In fact they've done quite the opposite by holding everything close to their chest behind closed doors until the last possible moment.
