China has no solution yet when its leading e-commerce businesses keep getting shut down by Amazon

China’s “2020 Cross-Border Export E-Commerce Industry White Paper” shows that China’s cross-border e-commerce in 2020 amounted to 265.4 billion US dollars, of which 188.5 billion was for exports, accounting for 70 % of total imports and exports. Data from China’s National Post Bureau shows that by the end of 2020, parcels sent from China accounted for more than 60% of all cross-border e-commerce parcels worldwide.
The success of Chinese sellers on Amazon is attracting more Chinese to the market. But now they are realizing that the Americans are serious about what they do and that it’s no longer possible for them to replicate past successes.
The Chinese e-commerce leaders have expressed their frustration: It’s an open secret that Chinese sellers are generally in violation of the rules, and for more than a decade, there existed a sort of ” unspoken agreement ” between Amazon and Chinese sellers to leave it alone. How can they suddenly take such massive and severe action?

They have what’s coming to them. I also will never purchase anything off of FB ads either because most of those are Chinese scams as well.

This is indicative of China as a whole – the attitude of the CCP regarding "do whatever it takes to succeed", and to make the country greater than anyone else, induces cheating and misrepresenting products just for sales success. The end result is a loss of trust and lack of honesty in business. When it gets exposed, everyone who finds out will lose respect for the country as a whole, which is sad for those who did not participate in the sham. China is starting to look like a corrupt nation.

Most countries follow the law RELIGIOUSLY. But China killed its religion.

Actually, it's a good thing. One of the biggest problems in China is capital outflow. I hope Amazon can ban these Chinese sellers all at once.

I never buy products from Amazon any more, except for electronic books for my kindle. 5 years ago, I heard about Chinese sellers flooding the amazon market, and about the fake reviews.
3 years ago, I wanted to buy a new computer chair, so I decided to go to Amazon knowing about the Chinese problem. I spent 2 days looking through 100's of chairs for sale, and almost all of them were from sellers in China. I struggled to find sellers in the UK. In the end, I bought a chair from the website of a UK office supplies company, and it came within 3 days.
Also, if it comes from China, and they say the item will be delivered within a few days, that is not true because it takes at least a month for it to be sent to western Europe.

Time to stop buying Chinese junk, let India have a crack at providing all our cheap garbage. Their drum beating over Taiwan is the perfect pretext to enforce massive sanctions … personally I'm pissed off with the many Chinese online sellers pretending to be local but selling out of China, lies, grift and fakery that they feel entitled to scam us with has to stop!

I got scammed many times from ebay and amazon of sellers from china before, They'll display product pictures with good prices and reviews, and when you buy it,,you'll wait forever because nothings coming to you even how long you wait. After that I always checked and never buy anything anymore if it's seller from china. Although not all sellers from china are doing that and it sad that some honest sellers being affected by it, but if you are a buyer you'll be worried anytime if you are ordering to the right sellers.

I used to be seller in Amazon India. Amazon bleed us to the death until we have nothing left. It is like drugs, once you are hooked you have no option. I had shutdown my business due to losses.

I hate ordering from Amazon. It's so hard to find what you want because the search is not for what you want, it shows other non related products first.

how tragic that we have learned too late that vetting products is going to save us money in the long run. the american obsession with cheaper by a penny has obliterated the retail industry here, and anything related to it. (real estate, construction, banking, etc). a lot of the big boxes getting wounded by the internet also need to accept blame. trying to be everything from the morgue to the telecom. the world is totally different, and we may never get it back. it's so sad to me. and each industry that collapsed was also a sizable portion of the economy. just my two cents. (the internet sucks)

I think they also buy legit amazon facing companies/channels and swap the content. I can't tell you how many reviews I've read that sound something like "they must have changed the source of the product, this is nothing like I am used to buying for the past four years"

End game to outside sellers or buyers. China is moving towards self reliance ie " Buy own China products" and feed its middle class population first ( 450mil, est 2021) which is increasing year by year.

People not taught morals tend to be immoral …
I’m impressed Amazon has the morals to restrict or eliminate these unethical sellers .
There might be hope for Amazon after all ..

I quit using Amazon years go because no less then half the stuff i bought turned out to be counterfeit junk. The Amazon customer service would basically tell me to go kick rocks when i tried to get a refund every time. When i went to close my account it turned into a several month long fiasco where they insisted i couldn't close my account because reasons. Finally i told them i'd keep the account but only if they refunded me every penny for all the counterfeit junk, they closed my account seconds later and wished me well.

Nope, it's their deceptive practice that led Amazon to shut them down. They should have done that sooner. I also try to avoid dealing with Chinese merchants because I got cheated once. Once is enough.
