Hi Justin, thanks for all the help.
I use Snagit to record video and use it's very limited editor to edit videos. It's good tool, but I want to do more with screen capture and video editor – which do you recommend that do both? Thanks.

Very Informative, but you forgot about Explaindio software. This is a great software for video making and explainer videos. Animated videos can be done in 2D and 3D and so much more and explaindio is not as expensive as those you mentioned. https://jvz8.com/c/1584179/123757 check it out for yourself.

I just started to create videos, and the first program I met with was a very old version of powerdirector, so I thought I would upgrade for aa newer program, but after a littlebit of searching I found Filmora9 and I started using it, i can say its really easy to use even for an absolute beginner like me. I really enjoy working in it.

Your explanation of the difference between Lightworks Free and Lightworks Pro is super-important. I'd be furious if I'd downloaded a vid editor and learnt how to use it – I have memory function issues, so learning new skills isn't as easy for me as it used to be – and then found out when I'd edited a video that I could only upload it at really poor image quality. Can you please do a revisit of this guide, and talk more about these sorts of limitations for the free software? I'm perfectly at home with having a strip of adverts at the bottom of my screen while I work, I have no money to spend so they can't influence my spending choices anyway, but limiting my channel to low-quality content is not okay!

What’s the cheapest video editing software that I can get that would be a huge upgrade to Windows Movie Maker my roommate is a small YouTuber and I feel like that it really slows him down with its limited functionality.
