I just subscribed to your channel on the strength of this single video review. You are thoughtful, fair and balanced. Your presentation style is easy on the eyes and the ears, and the video production quality is excellent (naturally). I look forward to exploring all the videos available on your channel!

Thank You! Great video. I started editing not too long ago. I realized that there's a lot to learn. The editing language is probably the toughest. Just knowing what is what. I have also learned that editing and rendering videos on an under powered computer with no video processing power is like watching grass grow………… If nothing else, you will learn how to be patient.

I purchased a loaded imac desktop and have no idea how to use it. I've had it since last year. It's so freakin beautiful, I just wish I that I was efficient at it. I'm new to the entire Apple/mac world. This is my first editing project so I'll be visiting here alot.

I have premiere pro in my creative cloud subscription, but I don't do much editing, and I'd like something a bit more streamlined and smooth to use (even if less powerful).
I'm thinking of switching to Final Cut Pro.

I'm here because SimpleMovieX doesn't work under Catalina. I just want a program that will edit without re-encoding. Nothing fancy. I will pay money. Why is that so hard?

I'm starting with iMovie which makes sense because it's free. But when I need to upgrade, I'm unsure. Final Cut Pro makes the most sense, but it's $399 CDN.
Now that Apple has made sure my Adobe CS4 no longer works on Apple Products (Which cost me $$$), I'll need to get their monthly subscription at $70 CDN/month, maybe I should settle for Premiere since it comes in the bundle anyway… Thoughts?
